THE RECHARGE LAB

A 6-Week Emotional Regulation Program for Children

High Hopes Counseling, in collaboration with Helping the Behaviorally Challenging Child (HBCC), is proud to introduce The Recharge Lab,
a structured, trauma-informed program designed to help children build the emotional skills they need to navigate everyday life with more confidence and control.

This isn’t just another class. It’s a hands-on, evidence-based experience that teaches kids how to understand what’s happening inside them — and what to do about it.

Same day. Same time. Same location.

How It Works

The Recharge Lab runs as a 6-week program, with each session building on the last to create real, lasting progress — not just temporary fixes.

While children participate in their therapeutic group, parents and caregivers are simultaneously attending their own HBCC class in the same building.

That means:

  • No running around to different locations
  • No sitting in the car waiting
  • No disconnect between what kids learn and what parents practice

Everything is aligned — in real time.

What Kids Will Learn

Through guided activities, real-life scenarios, and supportive group work, children will:

  • Identify and understand their emotions
  • Build practical coping strategies they can actually use
  • Learn how to self-regulate in stressful moments
  • Strengthen communication and self-advocacy skills
  • Develop confidence in handling challenges at home, school, and beyond

Why This Matters

When children and parents learn side-by-side, change happens faster — and it sticks.

This partnership between High Hopes Counseling and HBCC creates a fully integrated support system, helping families move forward together with shared tools, language, and understanding.

The Goal

To give children the ability to pause, process, and respond — instead of react — and to equip families with the tools to support that growth long after the program ends.
